Turkish Junior and Junior U-21 Karate Championship

The opening ceremony of the Turkish Junior, Junior, and U-21 Karate Championship, held in Elazığ from October 24-26, 2025, was met with strong attendance.

The opening ceremony, held at the Fırat University Faculty of Sports Sciences Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Hall, was attended by Elazığ Governor Numan Hatipoğlu, Elazığ Deputy Mayor Nazif Bilginoğlu, Fırat University Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, Elazığ Chief Public Prosecutor Aşkın Yeğin, Provincial Police Chief Adnan Karayel, Turkish Karate Federation President Ercüment Taşdemir, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Abdulsamet Eren, federation officials, coaches, referees, athletes, and numerous guests.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by official speeches, folk dance performances, and the presentation of medals to the athletes who won the final competitions. Athletes from 51 provinces competed fiercely for medals in the championship, which included 1,200 athletes, nearly 300 coaches, referees and administrators.
